What is assessed
For water, the review may consider domestic demand, peak demand, fire-flow requirements, pressure and available hydrant or model information. For sanitary servicing, it may compare proposed peak flows with sewer size, slope, existing loading, pumping constraints and downstream bottlenecks. Storm review considers allowable discharge, sewer or channel capacity, outlet controls and major overland flow conditions.
The municipality may provide records or undertake its own network review. In other cases, the applicant may be asked for field testing, monitoring, hydraulic modelling or an analysis extending beyond the property frontage.
